Lamentations 2:18-20

¹⁸ Their ^(A)heart cried out to the Lord,
“O ^(B)wall of the daughter of Zion,
Let your ^(C)tears run down like a river day and night;
Give yourself no relief;
Let ^[a]your eyes not be still.

¹⁹ Arise, cry aloud in the ^(D)night
At the head of the night watches;
^(E)Pour out your heart like water
Before the presence of the Lord;
Lift up your hands to Him
For the ^(F)life of your infants
Who are ^(G)faint because of hunger
At the head of every street.”

²⁰ See, O Yahweh, and look!
With ^(H)whom have You dealt thus?
Should women ^(I)eat their ^[b]offspring,
The infants who were ^[c]born healthy?
Should ^(J)priest and prophet be killed
In the sanctuary of the Lord?
